A symbol system designed for the many collections of the University of Dundee’s museums. Baudot code patterns generated from the name of each collection type are morphed using principles from D’Arcy Thompson’s theory of transformation, creating unique, recognisable identities for each collection while offering a flexible, forward-looking visual language.
A playful twist on discovering everything the University of Dundee’s museums have to offer. Using a paper origami fortune teller that builds on the idea that the museum collections are one of Dundee’s best-kept secrets. Each museum location is concealed within the toy, unified by the symbols generated for each collection.
